Over the course of her career, Lara stepped into multiple businesses as a full-time accounting hire during periods of financial disorganization or transition.
What she found, repeatedly, was that the issue was rarely just the books.
Yes, reconciliations needed correction and reporting required structure. But beneath that were operational inefficiencies — workflows that created unnecessary labor, software that didn’t integrate properly, payroll processes that lacked optimization, and decision-making that wasn’t supported by clear financial visibility.
As she rebuilt accounting systems, she also refined the surrounding operations.
She evaluated and implemented more effective software solutions. She streamlined procedures. She spoke directly with employees to understand friction points and gather insight into how processes could improve or generate more revenue. She analyzed operational adjustments to determine whether they would increase efficiency or support profitability.
Importantly, she considered how procedural changes affected the people doing the work. Strong systems should not only improve reporting — they should support retention, reduce unnecessary stress, and create clarity for employees as well as leadership.
And each time, once financial systems and operational workflows were structured intentionally, the business stabilized. Oversight became efficient. Full-time accounting support was no longer necessary.
The underlying issue had not been transaction volume. It had been infrastructure.
That realization shaped Golden Path Oversight.
Most small and growing businesses do not need more accounting hours. They need someone capable of building sound financial systems, aligning operations intelligently, and creating efficient structures that support both performance and their team.
Golden Path Oversight was created to provide that level of infrastructure — bookkeeping as the foundation, operational alignment as the outcome.

Golden Path Oversight is led by Lara Puckart, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from NYU Stern School of Business and brings over a decade of hands-on experience in accounting and operational support.
She has worked across a wide range of industries, supporting organizations with varying revenue models, transaction volumes, and operational structures. Her background includes general ledger management, reconciliations, payroll accounting, sales tax compliance, structured financial reporting, audit support, and accounting clean-up initiatives.
Her experience within a CPA firm environment provided direct exposure to trial balance analysis, adjusting journal entries, and tax preparation processes — reinforcing a standard of precision that continues to guide her work.
In prior roles, Lara was promoted into expanded operational responsibilities, reflecting the trust placed in her ability to stabilize systems, improve reporting clarity, and strengthen underlying workflows.

Because Lara has worked in roles ranging from administrative operations and customer-facing support to accounting leadership and executive coordination, she understands how financial systems connect to daily business activity.
She has seen firsthand how operational decisions affect reporting, how workflow inefficiencies increase labor costs, and how unclear systems create frustration for both leadership and staff.
That broader perspective shapes Golden Path Oversight.
The focus is not just accurate books — it is building financial systems that support sustainable, efficient operations.
